The University of Southampton has introduced two scholarship programs aimed at supporting exceptional Indian undergraduate and graduate students. These initiatives are designed to recognize academic excellence and provide financial assistance to deserving candidates.
Delhi Presidential Scholarship
- Coverage: This fully funded scholarship covers the entire tuition fee for the duration of the course.
- Eligibility: Awarded to one undergraduate and one graduate student who demonstrate consistent academic excellence and embody the university’s core values.
- Announcement Dates: The graduate scholarship recipient will be announced in June 2025, while the undergraduate recipient will be named in July 2025.
Future Talent Scholarship
- Assistance: Offers a tuition fee reduction of ₹220,000 for the first year.
- Availability: Up to 12 undergraduate and graduate students across all six programs offered by the university for the August 2025 intake.
- Selection Criteria: Based on past academic achievements and a strong scholarship application.
- Announcement Phases: Shortlisted candidates will be announced in two phases—June and July 2025.
Additionally, the university plans to introduce the Future Talent Bursary, a financial aid program exclusively for academically strong but financially disadvantaged undergraduate students. This bursary offers up to ₹660,000 per student for one year. Details regarding eligibility and applications for this bursary and other scholarships will be available by the last week of February 2025.
