IIT Kanpur, in partnership with the African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO), launches an international training program titled “Agricultural Practices Using Drones: Plan, Design, Build, and Fly.” This initiative aims to enhance the understanding and use of drone technology for agricultural purposes among participants from Africa and Asia.
The program runs from November 13 to 23, 2024, and includes 13 participants from various countries. The course covers advanced drone applications in precision agriculture, enabling farmers to optimize resource use, monitor crop health, and increase yield.
The inaugural event features prominent speakers like Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations at IIT Kanpur, who highlights the transformative role of drones in agriculture. She also underscores IIT Kanpur’s commitment to fostering international collaboration to address global challenges in agriculture.
