The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) introduces a One-Time Registration (OTR) system for students applying for scholarships in the academic year 2024-25. To streamline the application process and improve security, students are required to generate an OTR using their Aadhaar or Aadhaar Enrollment number (EID). This unique registration process aims to simplify future applications, making it easier for students to access scholarship opportunities.

For students who applied in the 2023-24 academic year, NSP will issue the OTR or reference number directly through the portal, and notifications will be sent via SMS. The OTR requirement ensures that students do not need to repeatedly register for each application, making the process more efficient and user-friendly.

Guidelines to apply for Scholarship:

  • Mandatory OTR for scholarship applications: All students seeking scholarships must complete a one-time registration using their Aadhaar or EID.
  • Automatic issuance for previous applicants: Students who applied last year will receive their OTR/reference numbers through the NSP portal.
  • Mobile app available: The NSP OTR App is available for download on the Google Play Store, allowing students to manage their registration on mobile.
